club I'm Hannah and I'm Chelsea and this

is the podcast where we are two licensed

therapists who sometimes daydrink and

sometimes don't and

discuss Romance Books of varying

caliber today's definitely a drinking

day it is a drinking day yeah we didn't

second book of the the scent of us the

scent of us duet but I love that when we

recorded the first episode we were both

wearing all black Y and then when we

came to record this episode we're like

oh we just changed textures still black

which is most of I think both of our

daily wardrobes yeah regardless at this

point the number of times that I've had

like a pile of clean laundry and been

searching for a particular piece of

black clothing and it's taken me far too

long is frankly a little bit

embarrassing but also just on brand for

me I feel like Vance still makes fun of

me but like there were like

conversations early on where we'd be

like about to leave the house I was like

I need to change my pants and I'd like

go upstairs and come back down and he's

like I thought you were changing your

pants and I was like I did and he's like

you went upstairs wearing black yoga

pants and you came downstairs wearing

black yoga pants I was like Vance

they're a completely different texture

you

fool get on my level they are not the

same I'm like duh can't you tell come on

dude no no you cannot tell short of this

being like [ __ ]

Sherpa I can tell thank you yeah yes

there is I'm like there there's so many

different options for your black mhm

bottoms yeah are they loose are they

tight are they like more of a wicking

material yes do they have an

underlining to them that is important

yes are they the kind that you're like

these are great to wear around the house

but I can't squat in them these aren't

in public black yeah yeah and Vance just

really seems to think they're all the

same which I can understand and also no

like no MM no

but I do take like casual cozy wear very

seriously yes it because it's it's a

serious matter well I'm also like when

you work like

remotely it matters more you're like I

want to be professional but I also don't

want to wear jeans off camera like no

one can see those who am I doing it for

yeah certainly not

me no no um but all that to say we're

here to conclude the journey to conclude

the journey which okay cuz the journey I

was like absolutely tracking with you

for because this is the second episode

of the scent of us duet um you probably

should go back and listen to the first

this is not one to just like jump in on

at

random um most of them are because most

of the books that we do are just

Standalone I think we've done one other

duet but for this one I would recommend

going back and listening to our last

episode MH um but in that episode I

really feel like for the first 80% I was

like yeah I'm tracking what a sweet cute

little like Omega verse book and then it

really feel what's the author's name on

this one I already forgot Elana Lee El

Elana really was like

I am going to hit the gas she said we're

going to send it she said [ __ ] the

brakes yeah the brake line has been cut

yeah yeah all gas no brakes for the last

20% it's a lot and then my bladder was

really full by the end of it I was just

like oh my gosh I don't know what's

happening and I can't even ask to

clarify what's happening cuz if I ask

any clarifying questions I might

accidentally pee um which

would be a great story but like also

it's not something we want to happen no

that's a humbling story I'd like to

avoid if I if I can I feel like at this

point in my life I have enough humbling

stories I don't need to add more you

know if they happen they happen I mean

well if you go back and listen to the

last episode here I told a very humbling

Kel story um so we we get the humbling

stories and this peeing

myself on a live recording is not one

that I really want to add to that mix so

um I did make sure to pee before we

start today same and I am very curious

and very excited to see where this is

going and how we're going to land This

Plane cuz at this point do you want to

give a quick synopis say like brief

recap Juno is our like main lead she had

been in an abusive situation she got out

of that situation and dissolved her pack

bonds as an

Omega um and then her she decided she

needed to find a pack because her heat

suppressants were failing she finds a

pack starts building relationships with

them they are very kind very supportive

of her she is only sexually into maybe

three of the four um another that that

number is such a moving Target I think

it was like we started with like there

was one there were four guys in the pack

and only one she was into well now there

might be two she's in

well now we're up to three but there are

other people that she's also into and

I'm like that she's bringing into the

pack so there's another guy that she

sent matched with but um he kind of

[ __ ] up and so he is kind of out of

the mix at this juncture and then

somebody from her past life from when

but maybe let's also use their names yes

so Ari okay is the alpha who messed up

with her and is out of the mix he is not

a member of the pack he is one of he's

her professor yes um but not anymore she

has finished his class and she is not

actually in his Department she was just

taking a class as an elective out of his

Department oh okay and then there is

Julian who is a beta from her previous

life um that the alpha Isaac of the new

pack found for her um to bring back he

is in the mix um than the actual guys in

the pack we Isaac the head of the pack

yes who both Isaac and junor are adamant

there is nothing romantic between them

there is olly who is but everyone else

is kind of seeing the Romantic yeah

everybody else is like like everyone

else like you do protest too much and

he's like no we don't we're not like

that okay so that's Isaac and then olly

olly who is her scent match who is our

golden retriever energy super sweet kind

of goofy be protective there is Everett

who is not her scent match but somebody

she is attracted to um he's the Swedish

engineer he is the Swedish engineer yeah

um and um he is very protective he's

very much a caretaker constantly like

cooking for her loving on her that kind

of stuff he has a previous scent match

that he had to kind of process through

um all of that from the first book so we

have have Isaac olly Everett miles I was

like I'm somebody miles is a member of

the pack he is bonded to Isaac the head

Alpha and he is very much into Juno and

he is the one that she initially felt

the safest with and she has a really

strong connection to him and then we

have Ari and Julian so those are our six

there is also romantic tension between

Julian and Isaac

woo if annah I have no idea why but I

thought you about to throw a seven name

in the mix now about to be like I will

scream I I cannot do any like I'm here

I'm tracking I got it but no we cannot

bring oh no we're maxed no no no no

there's no more there's no more there's

no more like there aren't enough holes

as it is there aren't enough holes or

hands or feet or anything at this point

there's not enough boobs Jesus

Christ

yeah I'm picturing the logistics and for

everyone's sake I'm going to stop I was

going to say I think we can just let

that

remain in the imagination for both

ourselves and our readers like you know

you get

it I know homom girl likes to draw in

the book but that doesn't mean you need

to draw a picture of all of them but I

am curious so if you do have the

artistic ability would love to know how

you conceptualize theous I was going to

say that's another DM conversation I

don't know that's when you can post in

the comments I mean more power to you

but yeah like meta might flag that I was

going to say yeah we might get in a

little bit of trouble okay so we ended

book one with they were all at like a

fundraising event and there were photos

posted in like a gossip magazine of home

Juno and all of the other pack people um

but then the

abusive former pack mates that she had

had pack Z yes hey look at me um saw

those photos and then reached out to

Isaac and are

like she's ours yeah we're coming for

her mhm okay so that's where we left off

and we immediately start with

flipping the [ __ ] out he's like I would

too yeah and so he immediately tells the

pack because he this is not something

this is not a thing we can keep from

people like everybody needs to wear be

aware and they also all flip the [ __ ]

out quick question that I don't think I

actually asked in the first one I know

miles and Isaac are bonded are they the

only two bonded in the the their pack

mhm okay

yep so Juno at this point has kept

secret that Pac Z had filmed her during

her heat several times and so I forgot

about that cuz they were going to

threaten to release it if she ever left

them and then and then she left them and

her name was not posted with these

photos so there's a lot of speculation

on who she is but pacz has seen the

photos and they know

so the photos not the videos okay sorry

yeah so the the videos are not in play

yet but Juno tells the pack like Hey

listen this is maybe worse than you

think it is and could have a really

intense impact on you guys as a pack and

like your reputation and stuff in a way

that maybe you don't realize so if you

don't want a scandal like I can go like

I understand no hard feelings

whatever and Julian loses his absolute

[ __ ] at Isaac and he is like you promis

to protect her was Isaac saying she

needed to leave no no at this point

everybody's kind of like in shock and

shut down and so like no one is

processing what anybody else is saying

just reactive he the moment mhm and

Julian is like this is your fault Isaac

because the reason they were at the

fundraiser in the first place was

because Isaac made a donation to the

program that helped Juno and that's why

they were there was because he made a

big donation and Julian is like you

wanted to throw your money around and

this is the consequences of that and he

like storms out which is not really fair

a little shortsighted but we understand

the volatility of the situation it's a

lot it's a lot um and Juno at this point

has walked out like she's just like Hey

FYI if you want to avoid a scandal let

me know I can go and leaves and the pack

then is having conflict amongst

themselves and Everett goes after

Juno Isaac is just focused on making a

plan he's not checking on anybody he's

not following up he does feel like it's

his fault and so he's like I got to

start finding ways to protect her so

he's calling lawyers and piis and cops

and his security team and he's just

trying to like that's his piece is

having a plan of action and so he's just

strictly focused on that at this

point so Juno is in her nest nest and

Everett asks to come in and she says no

and he says okay and sits down on the

floor in the hallway and is just like

present with her um and uh

eventually he she does let him in like

he's just kind of telling him about his

childhood and you know his parents

passed away when he was young and blah

blah blah blah blah and she's like okay

like you can come in like he's just

being really sweet taking his time just

m warming her up to his presence yes

yeah and then once she lets him into the

nest Everett says um that he wants her

to bite him so Omega bites aren't

permanent and they are pretty weak and

he's like I know that you think that

maybe we don't want you I need you to

know that I want you but I'm not going

to bite you but you can bite me right um

and it's a completely it'll be

completely one-sided you know all of

that and

um they wind up having some awesome sex

of course and she does bite him and does

realize like the depth of his feelings

for her and how honest being um and so

she then tells him to complete the bond

with her which is huge for her oh yeah

um and so also not going to lie like

assumed she would maybe get to the point

where they were she would bond with them

in the

future but Everett Stefan is not the the

one I thought was going to be me either

first in that line I thought it was

going to be olly personally

yeah well okay in this Omega verse do

they also would she would she Bond the

betas

yes my money would if the on Miles I was

going to say Julian

ah yeah I got you like the one that she

has like the longest standing history

with but you

know that doesn't matter at all so sorry

good for I'll let you yeah way to go Bud

um and so he bites her on the wrist

because her neck is covered in tattoos

to cover her old Bond bites um there are

Declarations of love and everything's

just really nice and they're very

happy

um Everett winds up having to leave for

work very early the next morning Juno

finds Isaac and he looks awful like he

clearly has not slept he's been up all

night um again making sure that she is

safe and like making a plan he

is really happy that she felt safe

enough to bond in even with everything

going on um

and he's kind of still spiraling about

like what do I need to do here to make

you safe and so she is like you're just

stop right now yeah and come with me and

she just platonically cuddles him in her

nest so that he can get some rest

um and then a little bit later they have

a pack meeting Julian makes amends with

Isaac for saying that everything was

Isaac's fault um he's like maybe in

retrospect

I was a

bit unfair yeah I went a little far yeah

um but Julian is truly terrified because

he's the only one with like firstand

knowledge and like saw what happened to

her um and so so

um they are very open like resolving

their conflict good communication all

that kind of stuff and then a new

character arrives but not a pack member

Ben Juno's brother

calls oh yeah Blast from the Past yeah

okay cuz the last time we saw him was at

the funeral for her former Alpha yes

where her parents were like you're being

a good Omega right and she's like maybe

we're focused on the wrong thing here

and then her brother they like really

wouldn't give her a chance to okay just

making sure I'm keeping it straight MH

Ben yes oh no is he going to have sexual

attenion with anyone that I need to

prepare for no no no no no he is in the

the next book with her best friend but

he is a beta and not really involved in

this one sexually um thankfully um so

Ben is like like hey I I want to come

like yeah he does heyo he's like that's

the next book though I want to be there

for my sister whatever Isaac is like

okay but you can't come to the house

they have a meeting mhm um or they're

planning it whatever but Julian and

Isaac are still having a lot of sexual

tension miles plans a date but doesn't

tell either one of them that they're

going to be on thee with each other yeah

so they don't realize that well I'm

assuming Isaac thinks he's going on a

date with Miles yeah and Julian thinks

that he's meeting the

pack so like they show up and they're

like look miles making a little meat

cute moment miles lowkey in the

background is like moving everybody on

this chess board because he's like

everybody should be in

love he's like I see where we're trying

to get just let me help you yeah get out

of your own way

help so um he also booked them a hotel

room so and like didn't tell them until

he clearly felt Isaac's lust through

their bond and then sends the link for

like the hotel

booking so um I'm also imagining that

when they walk in the hotel there's

like P everywhere champagne whatever jam

it miles [ __ ] miles dude um

so very intense sex situation happening

um Julian had prepped because he was

like well miles had said maybe you'd be

into it and I should be ready for that I

didn't realize it was happening right

this second but there is butt

pluck um so they have a very solidifying

[ __ ] it's nice

yeah okay but why do they need a butt

plug there's only so many holes in that

scenario well to prep because Isaac is

huge oh so he'd been wearing it for a

minute oh I see sorry I was like sorry I

like when you say prep are you saying he

shaved his pubes in case the mood was

right like when what level of prep went

into this all of the above no I don't

know there was no discussion of

manscaping but no that makes far more

sense I was like why was he prepping

with a butt

plug and as soon as I said that question

out loud I got my

answer it was just more

of processing along the way sorry it

took me a second it's all

good so now Juno's brother finally shows

up because again across the country um

it is a very messy reunion do we know

what

cities no that's not really said Okay um

but it is it's a very messy reunion okay

um he had no idea Ben had no idea that

his parents sold her none whatsoever he

he like just found out he was under the

impression that she went to pack Z and

then was like too good for them because

apparently for years he had been trying

to see her and every time he would show

up the pack lead Andrew would be like

she doesn't want to you and would turn

him away and so he had no

idea um and

so it turns out that pack Z is now

connected to this like super far right

extremist group about like Alpha rights

and they're posting stuff on the

internet and like like the Andrew Tate

of Alphas yeah yeah it's very icky

okay um and Ben makes amends with her

and is like I am so sorry that I wasn't

paying enough attention he was in

medical school and working and like he

he didn't know um and he just wants to

be her brother again and he's going to

move here for his residency um he's like

so I'm going to be nearby if you're open

to that if you're open to seeing me but

like if if you're not that's okay but

like I just want to be near

you I like that my first thought was wow

a bit presumptuous he can get a match on

that side of the

country he's not really worried about

that as a beta he's like I just want to

be with my sister cuz

I I'm like I'm going to the logistics of

medical school matching placement oh he

applied to like three or four hospitals

in the area is what he said not

disputing that just thinking of all of

my friends who have been through medical

school and like the whole like Match Day

process and people like not getting the

location that they like thought they

were like just all of that where I'm

like even if you did apply to four in

the area Ben not a guarantee I was like

match like mate he's not worried about

that and I'm like no where is it going

to work

Han same thing and yet different um

so um Juno and olly are together at a

nesting store this is like a few days

later cuz they want to make her feel

better cuz she's clearly down and like

kind of distraught obviously about

everything so and at this point it's

just like a vague threat of we're coming

for her but we don't know how we don't

know how we don't know when right we're

just living in the unknown yes and at

this point it's just Andrew the pack

lead because his brother is still in

prison okay I was wondering his brother

is still in prison and the other brother

is dead is dead right so it's just the

one I assumed the other brother was out

of prison not yet yeah but it's his

parole is impending right now

like in the next few months he's

eligible I do think part of parole is

technically not going across state

limits in the US that's true [ __ ] I keep

forgetting they aren't in the US and I

don't know Australian laws that well I

don't either

I like to think I know American laws but

I don't know that my um like uh Savant

level knowledge of true crime

documentaries makes me a lawyer so like

you

know you know Hannah that's a that's

good to stay grounded with that yeah

that's good yeah because if you had said

I've watched enough True Crime that I'm

pretty much lawyer at this point no dude

if I ever get AC accused of a crime I

will be calling an attorney so fast oh

my gosh um when we were still living in

Nashville um it was kind of like when

true crime documentaries were really

like the first ones were popping up on

Netflix and making a murder making

murder whatever it was um had just

dropped and that's when I was uh working

with and training the police department

on like deescalation and Mental Health

crisis and all that stuff and like I

remember as like being at a lunch in and

having a very like intense conversation

about brend and dassie yes and like the

whole and I'm like okay when you see the

evidence what does it say to you and

they're like we got you and I'm like oh

wow yeah I yikes I don't know [ __ ] like

you guys do this for a living and I like

it was the most fun to get to watch a

true crime documentary then immediately

turn around and work with the police

officers and be like I need your

thoughts on this yeah help me understand

yes um big fan but I also remember the

meme going around at the time that was

like I wish someone looked at me the way

Brendan dassie looks at

nothing a a yeah Matt and I had just

started dating and we bonded a lot over

that show when it came out fascinating

show yeah super fascinating and quite

frankly I don't feel like every True

Crime documentary to come out since has

had that same level of Fascination and

there are some that I watched I'm like I

could have lived without this yeah mhm

we have different definitions of what a

cult is apparently like you know what I

mean there just some that I'm like yeah

like I guess it's an interesting story

but like in retrospect I probably

wouldn't have watched four episodes

about it if I'd known where we were

Landing the plane yes but not making a

murder absolutely that one delivered

that one delivered across the board mhm

mhm sorry where were we so Juno and hly

are

shopping okay and um he's just being

super adorable and excited about like

all the pillow forts they're going to

make and like how awesome everything's

going to be and like arguing the

structural Integrity of different

pillows and like just adorable and I

feel like you and Matt have argued the

structural Integrity of different

pillows before Hanah we have

yeah which one give you the most

leverage you

know okay so sorry back to their

shopping so Juno is just sitting there

watching him like be a goofball and just

is like hey I would like to bond with

you and he's like now and she's like

yeah uh-huh and he is so excited that he

leaves her in the parking lot and has to

come back

around because he's so excited to get

home

just so

pure all right I knew a couple in grad

school they had gone to the

movies and an attractive woman came on

screen and apparently he made some sort

of grunt of

appreciation that pissed off the

girlfriend oh no to the point that she

left him in the parking lot and I was

like I

don't

what I don't I don't think I've ever had

a fight with someone that I'm like I was

your ride here and I'm going to abandon

you there I have had a fight with

someone that was bad enough when I was

in a vehicle that I got out at a stop

sign and walked

home you know touche but I've never left

somebody on and especially when I'm like

a grunt of

appreciation I like did he say anything

else was he like if only you looked like

that like yes like truly I'm like if

like them boobies is crazy like no okay

her ass won't quit right and you're like

maybe maybe I'm not the person but I'm

like what the thought of someone just

like making a sound like M too yeah like

if I'm at watch a movie with my husband

and he's like o look at those titties it

wasn't even that and also to be fair I

probably say that more often than Vance

I was just about to say Matt and I were

at dinner a few weeks ago and like this

this bartender walked by and she was in

these like super tight black pants and I

was like damn that ass though and Matt

was like

what

yes but also there are some moments that

you're like you know what we can

appreciate the human figure and also

like it's not about me like

acknowledging that someone else is

attractive isn't saying that you aren't

no it takes nothing away yeah yeah but

it's we can all be attractive man like

yeah come on guys well and you know us

we love our trashy reality television

like the number of people that were like

like van and I will also be like okay

new cast of Love Island go top girls top

guys who you

got yes aesthetic alone we're not going

on personality here yeah yeah yeah mute

that [ __ ] I don't care what they're

saying let that mouth do though that's

it that's all I need to know

okay so olly accidentally leaves her in

the parking lot cuz he's too excited to

bond yep Which is far far more adorable

than the situation my friends in grad

school where cuz I just remember her

telling that story and feeling like

Justified and and I like left him in the

parking lot and I was like oh my God no

don't what that's yeah that also feels

like something that maybe I would do

when I was like 18 or 19 or something

like yes the things

that the things that you do with pride

in you you're like in retrospect maybe

cringe yeah mhm um maybe my my

principles outweighed

my common sense my Common Sense

yeah I'm going to stop interrupting cuz

I've said so the parking lot like three

times now yeah so they make it home but

they don't even make it back to the nest

um before he's like fingering her to

completion in the hallway but they do

eventually make gets to the nest very

solidifying [ __ ] lots of Declarations of

Love Bond mark on her boob it's a great

day are hers excited or are they all in

are they all trying to choose places

that are not tattooed they are all

trying to choose places that are not

tattooed but also not associated with

her previous bonds yes yeah um and also

he's just super into her boobs he's just

so excited about it which I get um boobs

are great so much fun though they really

are yeah it's a good

time

so pivot now a couple of days later

Andrew the Packa Alpha yes has posted a

video essentially on Tik Tok about how

terrible Bond dissolution is for the

alphas like the pain that he experienced

when Juno was dissolving their bond poor

baby

yeah thank you for telling us about your

experience so sad that was so vulnerable

of you and so sad

and um doesn't call Juno by name doesn't

name her um but he has backing of like

this farri extremist group and so the

video goes completely viral completely

viral because they are not in any way

interested in Omega or women's rights

and so they are like actively for

Alpha's rights or whatever

so um hannnah did you choose to outline

this book at the end of election season

intentionally not even a little bit not

even a little bit and when I realized I

was doing this one and like we record

ahead of time this is right after

election results came out I was like I

can't tell if this is apropo or

potentially

problematic you're like but there's

enough B box to go around [ __ ] sure

enough we'll figure it out

out

um so

um the the pack is trying to figure out

how to keep her safe because she is

still going to school on campus okay and

she hears Alphas in one of her classes

talking about she was probably in the

bond dissolution because why would an

Omega tatto their neck like that so they

don't know that she's the one but

they're talking about that video and

they're already associating her with it

so she reaches out to the school and

winds up being able to go back to remote

only for her

safety um we love a college that takes

women seriously very much so very

supportive and helpful and olly picks

her up from class cuz this all happens

like really really fast so olly comes to

pick her up because she doesn't feel

safe they stop by like a gas station

convenience store kind of thing on the

way out and um there's Ari picking up

snacks um in the gas station and he

looks really bad like he looks very very

ill like concerningly so like not just

like oh he looks a little hung over sort

of bad like a like this man is pretty

sick right now um and he's just like

staring at the cold medicine and this

conven store like in the middle distance

like clearly struggling and so Ari or or

Juno goes up to Ari and Ari thinks that

he's hallucinating he's like surely not

like surely she's not here with me right

now um but she is adamant that she's

taking him home and she's going to take

care of him and the whole pack comes

together with like home remedies to make

him feel better like

chicken kanji which is very common like

Chinese like our our chicken noodle soup

essentially and like all these different

like vix vapo rub and ginger and they're

like throwing all this stuff at him and

Miles like slightly passes him some cold

medicine and it's like when they are

done giving you weird root vegetables

just go ahead and take a couple of

these

um while I don't think you are readily

watching this movie one of the Disney

cartoons in the last couple years Ry in

the LA in The Last Dragon I think um

thoroughly enjoy it but there's a scene

where Captain Boon who's a child um

because of some things that have

happened in the movie but he's on his

boat and he's like he's like yeah he's

like we got shrimp kanji he's like we

got shrimp we got kanji we got a shrimp

kanji to die for which one what what do

you want they're like oh okay can we

meet the chef and he just like spins in

a circle and he's like hey I'm Chef Boon

we got shrimp we got

CI that's very good yes when you're

chicken Kani is like we got chicken we

got couch sure enough do and ever is

like so serious about the recipe and

like you have to get everything right so

that it will make him better and it's

just really like he's overwhelmed with

how kind they're being to him yeah cuz

like they they aren't his pack and

they're just like taking care of him yep

and he like passes out on the couch

after going through all of these home

remedies he just like falls asleep on

the couch and he wakes up to Juno next

to him on the phone with Ben very

upset he has no idea what's going on he

doesn't know about the pack zow

situation but oh okay she shows him the

video and Ari has a a his career has

been in advertising and he's like I have

a plan he's like we can we can do

something about this and so um he makes

an entire campaign to answer this that

doesn't refer to Juno in any way like

Juno is not involved because she doesn't

feel safe to step up um and like put

herself in the spotlight that way and so

he has connections from when he worked

in advertising and he gets like the

biggest Alpha movie star who's like the

super huge like former MMA fighter um to

agree to do a

PSA um on like Bond dissolution matters

and like omega's rights matter and like

if you can't figure out how to get in a

Omega with consent and keep them that's

your [ __ ] fault like it's not that

hard like and so like he makes this

whole thing and um uh he is planning all

of it he's got everybody on board but he

hasn't filmed it yet so he's still on

the planning stages um and he's feeling

more and more connected to everybody

Everett is super sweet to him um it it's

just really nice and he's feeling much

more connected to everybody but he is

flying out to film the PSA because he

wants to be a part of it and make sure

that it's perfect for her um and

so um Juno they confess their feelings

to each other before he gets on the

flight um and they just are like yeah

like even though he messed up before and

like his former his past trauma kind of

informed his view of her that doesn't

necessarily have to color the rest of

their relationship so all of that's

really sweet and nice

um so

then her heat is coming again so we had

one heat in the first book heat is

coming again it's a few months later you

know the funny thing is I guess she did

have the heat in the first book when you

had cuz you had said heat Spike and I

was like oo a little like baby heat on

the way to the real heat was like how

I'd been conceptualizing it and I hadn't

really necessarily realized that she'd

had like a full because it was just

miles and olly taking care of her touche

and like ever was making them food and

they that was the the consent for anal

butt plug situation happened during her

heat um yes so before she knows the heat

is probably coming and so she gets

consent to bond miles and Julian during

her heat okay um and she also gives

consent for anal this time because she

feels safer with them and um there

is my notes say an immense amount of

banging including anal play

you know of all of the words I thought

you might throw in there banging with

anal plays like I was like really

fearful I was like oh [ __ ] is the word

going to be like seen like there is an

immense amount of seen and I was like

well no [ __ ] I mean probably that many

that well In fairness there's only four

of the six involved in this heat so only

the fold because they all took care of

him mostly but it conversations haven't

been had yeah cuz like I still like at

present from how you've described it

like I was like yeah I wouldn't be

surprised if she like bonded with Isaac

tonight but I would be surprised if she

bonded with Ari right okay just wanted

to make sure that is kind of where we're

at so they have Ari and Juno have

declared their feelings for each other

okay where Isaac and Juno have not so

Ari then they're still in denial

correct Ari comes back from filming the

PSA they've already posted it like as he

was getting on the plane and it is viral

going really well everything is great

he's been in touch with the Omega

commission to help them with their PR

and marketing

like he is working it um and he finds

Juno in her nest when he gets back from

London back to Australia

mhm um and she invites him in yep sorry

we just have to be clear too many too

many dicks in the kitchen the heat has

just ended so she is cleaning her nest

and um wow they're really making her

clean it herself she won't let anybody

help ever it's in there trying to help

and she's like don't touch my stuff like

fast cuz I feel like that's one of those

things that like in a lot of omeg

they're like and then we just told her

to lay there and we'll do every single

bit of it and you're like they really

want to no they're trying yeah ever's

like but if I just help you like pull

the sheet and she's like don't touch my

stuff why doesn't she want the help just

because it's her it's her trauma

response yeah I think it's her space and

like she wants to be the one to do it

and take care of her space because they

taken care of her very well but like

yeah they did the nest is hers and so

she she wants that

space which I can also respect please

please don't hear me invalidating that

it's just more of like a a ju a position

yes as a lot of this Series has been

compared to typical Omega verse books

that we read very much agreed um so Ari

enters the nest Everett leaves um and

Ari and Juno kind of have a conversation

about things and um Everett had said

like please get her to come downstairs

and eat like she's she's been like so

fixated on the nest like we need to make

sure she eats um and

so Juno tries to pull him into the nest

to have sex and he's like your Alphas

will literally kill me like I have got

to feed you and she's like I will

literally kill you [ __ ] me like

um so there's only one person you should

be afraid of right now and it's me

they're not in this room I got to tell

you they are in this room

like you knew what I meant so much as

the wine yeah was trying to impede what

I meant and I'm going to blame the B box

for that one yeah

oh yeah

so they finally bang it's great um and

he has a moment of realization that like

he actually does want the whole pack

he's really missed having that

camaraderie and he wants to be a part of

it um and

um yeah it you know they are having kind

of a really nice time kind of bonding as

a pack Ari is present but not really

part of it yet um and so Juno sends him

to bed because he's still jet lagged

from the

trip and um she goes and like cuddles

with Julian a little bit and on her way

back to her room from cuz Julian asked

to spend a little time with her before

she went back to bed so on her way back

to her nest she passes Isaac's room and

in Isaac's room she sees Isaac and Miles

[ __ ] real

hard good for them a lot is happening

and Isaac is making a lot of eye contact

with her and but miles he keeps like

turning miles head so like he can't see

her so Miles doesn't know she's there

and at this point she's bonded with

Miles correct okay so she's feeling his

lust through the bond and she's like oh

damn um and so then she starts touching

herself and she's like I probably

shouldn't be doing this but like it's a

thing that's happening um and um it's

super hot and she like touches herself

until she comes and then she like runs

to her nest she's like oh

[ __ ] so the next day Juno and Isaac have

the most awkward conversation where

they're both trying to apologize to each

other and like promising it's never

going to happen again and like we never

need to talk about it again and like and

we're definitely still not into each

other at all like you know we just felt

lust through the bond to Miles and like

it doesn't count and it's all fine and

no eye contact ever again and like super

weird we was going to orbit around each

other in the same pack

respectfully with platonic love and

support

awkwardly so I was just imagining that

as an email sign off with platonic love

and support Chelsea with platonic love

and support in these trying times Hannah

I was on a call with my boss earlier

this week and I was like listen I wanted

to update my email signature to just say

have the day you deserve and then I

wondered how long it would take before

you chatted me with a complaint that I

needed to change it but also I will

stand by the fact that if that offends

you maybe you need to look within

yourself right and she was laughing

really hard but also in a way that I was

like you know what I didn't hear a green

light to update my email signature do

it

yeah and since you and I are still

technically co-workers I think whenever

you email me from here on out it's going

to be signed off with platonic love and

affection

Chelsea I will do that um so um Isaac

then gets a message to turn on the farri

news station so they're wrapping up this

extremely awkward encounter and he gets

a text that's like you need to turn on

the news is that news max it's like um I

think they called it SSN Southern Star

or something cuz it's Australia I don't

know social security number that's what

I was thinking like oh yeah the SSN

Network um so Andrew from PR Pac out is

on this news station um and he is there

with Juno's father oh um saying that the

Omega commission stole

her and that he just wants his Omega

back he just wants his family

back and um they stole Juno from her

family from her father and from her pack

yes the father that sold her yeah they

left that part out conveniently really

burying the lead there yeah so then when

confronted about the pack member who is

in prison Andrew is like he was avenging

our other packmate our brother um you

know from the drug deal yeah also left

that part out um and he's getting out

next week oh [ __ ] yeah um they also play

a portion of the audio from her first

heat

when she had begged for a bite when she

wasn't Lucid as like evidence that she

consented um so they didn't play the

actual footage but the audio was

there and everyone is incredibly

devastated by this and um they have like

a pack night where they all just cuddle

in the nest and just get support and you

know warmth and kindness from each other

like it's been a bad day we're going to

have an easy cuddly yep Uber Eats filled

night yeah literally but I guess you

don't need Uber Eats when you have

Everett yeah also true um so then Juno's

brother Ben shows up and he says we need

to do a DNA test so like I know and you

know but like now everybody needs to

know our dad is not your dad and she's

like what and he's like oh you didn't

know cool cool cool so I know and you

know that our dad is not your biological

dad and she's like so you

know mhm assumptions were made and were

incorrect Jun know I don't know Juno I

did not know no say yeah so Juno's like

the [ __ ] so her mom had an affair with

an alpha and that's how she was born and

Omega because both of their parents are

basas and Ben is a

beta so no one's ever mathed this before

no one's ever mathed it because it can

happen but it's very rare okay but Ben

is like yeah I overheard our parents

saying like Dad saying that you're not

even his and so he's going to

profit if he

can and that was that also not that I

had any respect for her mother

but like less now yeah yeah and she's

like well you're right you know she's

not biologically yours

so may as well make a dollar one less

mouth and all that yeah wild so um they

he takes like spit to do a DNA test or

whatever um and they send out cease and

desist orders to the new station who

played her tape and everything um but

they're in a holding pattern

so that feels like a pretty racy tape

for the

news yeah but it felt like it was one of

those that was like a very

sensationalizing kind of

news entertainment news more than like

actual informational news kind of

thing but at least in America in like

our current ERA that's very blurred as

to like what's entertainment news and

what's real news and we like to think

that they're the same they are not the

same no I'm like I don't need to see

anyone in Congress in Entertainment

Weekly you know what I me yeah yeah yeah

yeah and I feel like in in our current

climate that has shifted slightly we I'm

like no no no you're not like an

influencer public figure you're a public

servant public figure those have

different job descriptions attached very

much yeah your boobs look great no

matter what though

we can support you in that and probably

nothing else but like that we got you

that's where we're aligned that where we

got you yeah titties for America

um so during this time they move Ari

into the pack house like they convert a

room for him so he has a place to move

in with them um and AR Ari doesn't know

that yet a but they tell Juno and she's

super excited to like confirm that he is

pack um so they send her to go tell Ari

she decides to do a student Professor

role play and shows up to Ari's office

in like a school girl outfit and it's

like please Professor like I really need

this grade like that kind of

thing um and then there's a lot of sex

happening oral and penetrative and just

or at school or like office she shows up

to his office

I was really hoping that they like let

but I'm also like hey like I know she's

not your student anymore and she's in a

different department but like she did

take your class last semester so [ __ ]

a student in your office feels risky she

did time it to make sure nobody else was

in the building but still it's like that

is a level of RK yeah in the building

she made sure made sure nobody else was

in the building but like that's a risk

um but after like the

roleplay like fevered frenzy kind of

dies down um they wind up like having a

really solidifying [ __ ] and exchange

bonding bites oh okay his is on her butt

cuz he's very much into her butt um and

um at that point she's then like also

here's a key we made a room for you like

welcome to the pack like we love you um

so

um now that they've sent out the cease

and assist right we're back in fourth

yeah they sent one to Andrew as well as

to the news station Andrew sends a still

photograph from one of her heat videos

so it's a photo of her um in Heat and

the pack flips the [ __ ] out but Juno is

like pretty chill and is kind of

like this is really

stupid like this is incredibly stupid

and I'm really not worried about it

anymore like something about being

bonded and safe has like freed her from

the shame of like this revenge porn

situation and so she's like I'm not

going to give him what he wants which is

me panicking like he's not going to ruin

this for me um and so they decide to

have a pack date night and she takes

everybody to a rage room she's like

here's what we're going to do we're

going to a rage room and um just go

break some [ __ ] we'll feel so much

better afterwards it's super adorable

like it's just really cute all of them

breaking stuff and then a couple of them

are like building things and they're

like don't break it like that's

literally what we're here for it's just

really nice um and yeah they

they have a really nice time until

somebody recognizes her at one of the

bars that they go to after the rage room

and then she's just really sad like she

can't be in public with her pack like

she can't spend time with them like it's

not safe for her cuz they like the

alphas that recognized her were like

threatening her um and of course they

kept her safe and like there was no

fight or anything but like it was a near

thing so um

um then

miles Isaac's bonded beta M and Juno's

bonded

beta realizes how depressed she is and

he's like paint me like one of your

French girls and like she comes in and

he's like naked on the couch and he's

like paint me like one of your French

girls and so um because he just wants to

cheer her up a and she's like well

you're not wearing the necklace like how

can I paint you like you're not wearing

the necklace from the Titanic and so he

makes a necklace out of like pasta like

a macaroni necklace bless it and like

posts up on the couch for her to paint

him um and while she is sketching or

painting him or whatever he confronts

her about her relationship with Isaac

and he's like hey it's like Wicked

obvious you guys like have a thing just

so you know like I'm good with it

everybody's good with it like maybe it'd

be cool if you guys like acknowledge it

yeah cuz like at this

point how is it serving anyone to keep

denying it right like what are we doing

here he's literally like the pack alpha

yeah everybody is into it and knows that

you're also into it like lean in like

quite frankly be more convenient for

everyone if you just like accepted what

you wanted yeah yeah so they get

interrupted by an IR rate Isaac he like

busts into the house and he says that um

Andrew went back on the news and

released their pack name and Juno's name

and all of her

information and

so um miles is just sitting back

watching them like finish each other

sentences and

like problem solved together and he's

like they are the center of our pack and

they do not seem to understand that they

are like their orbit is one and the same

like why are they not together um and

what a sweet way to describe that and So

like um they like Isaac finally like

turns around and is like what why are

you naked and wearing a spaghetti

necklace like what is happening well the

funny thing is when you said that he

walked in on I was like walked in

on miles on the couch wearing a pasta

necklace and I was like I was like I

think that's what he wanted I like yeah

so Miles responds and he's like I'm one

of her French

girls Isaac is like I'm one of her

French I see and that's like the end of

the end of the chapter like that's the

end of the

change and there are a lot of like super

cute moments like that through this book

that I've skated a little bit but that

was probably my favorite one so I

included it um but um I liked danger

Noodle from the first one danger noodle

was really cute was super cute um so

Julian is now like finally unpacking all

of his stuff to move into the pack house

he's been there this whole time but he

hasn't like fully unpacked act and he

finds the hard drive he had with all of

the pictures that he took when he was

working for pzo oh all the way to the

very beginning of the first book he

forgot about these pictures like he

completely forgot about it what sort of

photos was he taking did I miss that it

was of Andrew's Ledger and it was all in

Chinese yes yes yes where he was taking

the photos and didn't remember or not

didn't remember didn't couldn't

interpret what they said he was like I'm

was trying to take photos along the way

just desperation station like anything

that will help J so he shows the pack

and they realize that it is evidence

that Juno's father sold

her uh great job Julian you didn't even

know what you were getting yeah and then

her brother calls fortuitously with the

DNA results confirming that they are

half

siblings um and

Julian is

like he hasn't felt worthy to be a part

of this pack and like worthy to be with

Juno because he didn't save her in the

first place so this is a big deal for

him to like show them all of this stuff

and Juno asks Julian to come back to the

nest with her and um Isaac is there

waiting and the two of them tag team

Julian and it's all about Julian in and

not about each other not about each

other at all no never never about not

even a little bit but they are just

telling him that they're so proud of him

and they're so grateful for him and he's

so smart and so thoughtful and like all

the things that he really needs to hear

well the funny thing is I in my head I

was like almost like oh yeah we love a

praise Kink then I was like no this

isn't even a praise Kink this is just

like a hey it's appreciation King yeah

we just like see you and value you and

want to make sure you know that we just

love you yeah like we want you to know

you're safe here and like that this is a

home for you if you want it yeah but

like we're not together don't get it

twisted right and they are both

dominating him because that is Juno's

Dynamic and so she tells Isaac from the

jump like Julian is mine when he is in

this Nest are you going to be okay with

that and Isaac's like yes ma'am I surely

will be thank you for asking I have to

go on this journey and see where we land

you um and so Julian's like [ __ ]

losing it he's like oh my God like this

is the best thing that's ever happened

to me um and so like

um uh Isaac is trying not to be

distracted by Juno through this whole

thing he's like it's about Julian it's

about Julian it's about Julian um and um

um this is when Isaac bonds Julian so

Julian's already bonded to Juno now

Isaac has bonded Julian is it going to

be more bonds the pun intended but

climax of this book when Juno and Isaac

finally Bond uh yeah okay I'll give that

to you yeah it's not subtle um so um and

then um they just kind of snuggle and

have a great time um they are getting a

few days later they're getting inundated

with requests for interviews for Juno oh

from the press and she agrees to do a

single interview with an Omega reporter

that she trusts and has like tracked her

career she tells the whole story to the

reporter um and then Ben her brother

shows up to confirm her story and

produces the evidence of their DNA test

um and um his firsthand witness account

that he overheard his dad confirmed that

situation and then the whole pack joins

and they shared their experience and how

like kind and lovely Juno is and how

smart she is and how po important like

the bond dissolution is um and they also

reveal because part of this in this

universe some packs Take the Lead

Alpha's name and some packs choose to

take the omega's name oh and the pack

has always been in agreement before Juno

even showed up that they wanted to take

their omega's name but they don't feel

like they should take her family name

because that is the family that sold her

and so they came up

with Raina which is Filipino for

Queen and so they said like we would

like to all change our names to Raina

for you and that's how

yeah that's how they kind of close the

interview um and it is a massive success

like it goes over really well um and the

farri extremists like drop Andrew

because he's now tainted after all

because like maybe we didn't have all of

the details before we like moved ahead

with this story right and then at that

point Juno is feeling really conflicted

and she doesn't want this to become her

life she doesn't want to be an activist

she doesn't want to like make the

movement her identity and she feels

really guilty about that but the pack is

super supportive and they're like baby

like we don't want to be in the in the

spotlight either but we will do whatever

you want yeah like none of us are trying

to be like activist influencers mhm and

like if you have like you have this

platform and if you want to use it by

all means use it but like just because

you have it doesn't mean that like you

have to be the face of this for everyone

moving forward ex exactly so then Andrew

contacts Isaac several days later saying

that he wants to

meet Andrew get the [ __ ] out I know dude

and at this point Eric the other brother

is out of prison he has been released oh

yeah I forgot that that was upcoming

uhhuh okay so Andrew and Isaac meet at a

public park

mhm and Andrew says that he wants money

for the heat videos of Juno and like

he's blackmailing them still a piece of

[ __ ] yeah okay and he

realizes um that he's not like getting

the reaction he wants from Isaac he's

like well maybe you just don't really

care about her do you even know where

she is right now and like that's the end

of that chapter and we cut to for the

first time the perspective of Eric the

the brother that was in prison hey Eric

welcome to the party he [ __ ] shows up

and he is out on parole he has been

stalking Juno for several days watching

her going to

school and walking around well this

escalated yeah and he is like thinking

about all the horrible things he's going

to do to her and like how excited he is

to get her back and like bring because

he loves her so much yeah exactly and

Hees makes his move but then when he

grabs her she breaks his nose and he

goes to pull her hair and realizes It's

A Wig It is not Juno so it turns out the

pack and this is how it's revealed in

the book The Pack revealed or hired a

security

firm and they had a very small beta

impersonate Juno for several days

because they knew something like this

was going to happen and so Juno was

never even there clearly you knew your

Omega very

well so well that you didn't even notice

someone else was impersonating her and

with different smells well so she was

wearing Juno's clothes so that's an

important part she was wearing Juno's

clothes so that she would have the scent

I'll give Eric that that one thing you

know I'll give like the rapist n

consenting convicted felon credit for

the fact that it did smell like Juno you

get it so um then Everett and olly

approach um to get the woman away from

Eric and they like bundle her up and

pass her off to her team and then they

confront Eric and Eric is like look at

you homos smelling like your Omega cuz

she smell like peaches or something like

oh you smell like fruit

fruity

and um Everett is like is it is it gay

to smell like your Omega and alli's like

seems pretty gay

bro um and so also Eric do you know the

smell of your former Omega [ __ ] idiot

it's like deeply stupid so then um I

attacks Everett and olly tases him and

it turns out Ari was on the sidelines

filming the whole thing and they were

like congratulations you have violated

your parole in so many ways like good

for you

buddy

so

Juno is at the park where Isaac is

meeting with Andrew and she are these

separate stings it's all happening at

the same time but in separate locations

okay so two stings one for Eric one for

Andrew at the same time simultaneous

stings if you will yes okay the SS if

you will no no nope we we will not holy

[ __ ] I'm so

sorry oh God damn it

we were doing so good we were trying to

RI and it didn't work okay feel free to

take just that bit out okay oh no that's

shame I'll live with I know my husband

he's going to Le that

in woo so Juno's at the

park for the separate synchronized Sting

the SSS I was going to say the trip s

the trip s so um she is listening in to

this

conversation and she approaches and

finally faces Andrew and she's like yeah

he has known right where I am this whole

time clearly you haven't like Zing so um

she really puts him in his place like

super hardcore but then he barks for her

to come to

him and she fights it really hard but

it's like it's really bad well and

also be for obvious reason she's asked

all of her Alphas not to use a bark but

when you haven't heard a bark in that

long and it's like that ingrained in

your like trauma

history oh my heart yeah it's rough so

she is fighting it like really hard

until Isaac gets between her and Andrew

and just absolutely destroys him like

Alpha barks are not supposed to work on

other Alphas

but Isaac is so powerful that he like

takes Andrew down with ease like he's

angry enough at this point and has

enough power behind it he is real mad

maybe on a typical day that's not how it

plays out but so at this point he's got

Andrew on his knees and he's like you

will delete every heat video and every

copy of every heat video and you will

not breathe until we are out of this

area you don't deserve to smell her like

you don't deserve her

scent and so like they walk away and

Andrew's on his knees like turning

purple like yeah and he's like walk

faster walk faster yeah and as they walk

away they

just start making out of course they do

yeah and miles is hella smug in the

parking lot and he's like e called

it like shout out to Hazel mhm like sure

it was awkward from the jump she got it

yeah so the rest of the pack really

makes themselves scarce so Juno and

Isaac can head to the nest and like have

their solidifying moment um

and she has one spot on her neck that

she did not tattoo yet and so he bonds

that spot

mhm um and um she asks him to bark and

ask her to present because she feels

safe with him and that's something that

her Omega really needs like her Omega

instincts need and she feels safe enough

to do it um and

so Isaac is like hey listen like we are

going to be the center of this pack it

is you and me and we are going to give

them the center of this pack even if we

but now we're saying the the loud part

out loud like it's not even Qui we

saying the obvious part out loud that

everyone else has been giving us time to

catch up to yeah um and so like we will

always put the pack first always but

when it's just the two of us we will

take care of each other to every end and

like I need you to

be on board with that and she's like

absolutely so then my not say marathon

[ __ ] and he finally bonds her

officially so then they have a huge

party to celebrate their pack um there

is just lots of love and lots of

teasing and um at that point um like

everything is just settled within the

pack like the bonds are settled they are

all comfortable with each other they're

all in the same home like everything is

going well and that night after this

really lovely family time Julian asks 1

to 10 and the pack all give super

adorable answers like you know a million

and like you know they're all just super

happy um and Julian is like I think that

may be the last time I have to ask and

she's like I think you're right and so

um then there is a pack

orgy yes obviously that is the obvious

segue um and um she still got that birth

control in her arm she sure enough does

yeah she sure enough does so um there's

a lot happening um my notes say beta DP

she fall asleep on AR's not she's like

covered and come like you

know it's a great night you know they're

all having a good time so with like the

1 to 10 like where you at um when you

and I first started working together and

we were on the same team and we had our

weekly team meetings and at the end of

each meeting they would ask us to rate

it oh God and no one ever said below

eight because we were so like why are we

doing this yeah we're like

definitely at least an 80% I loved this

meeting but I loved when we like try and

get spicy with it and we're like I'm

going to go

9.25 yes yes and that's what I was

thinking of when you were like and they

all gave different answers like a

billion I was like I just remember us

being spicy and being like I'm going to

every night like people can sleep in

their own beds if that's more

comfortable and there's like a chorus of

like like all these asses in my

face seven people in a bed every night

so

much we have a king-size bed it's me my

husband our six lb cat and our 30 lb dog

yeah and if we added another pet I would

lose my [ __ ] let alone

another adult human yeah you get it

like Sophie sleeps with us

intermittently my dog who is about 50

lbs I was going to say people need to

know that our pets have human names so

Sophie sleeping in bed with y'all

Sophie's not our third she's our dog so

like Gizmo and and Fred are with us

every night but like Sophie

intermittently and are y all on a queen

or a king a

queen queen you cannot like like we are

very nearly about to get a new bed cuz

we've been married for eight years and

we've had the same mattress and that is

the life of a mattress so like it's time

but we have a king-size mattress if you

want it oh for real yeah oh no that

might B that might happen you could get

a new topper for it yeah okay we'll

figure this out neither here there yeah

we'll talk off we'll talk off pod off

pod what I heard I heard somebody say

that on a podcast the other day I was

listening to and I was like

oh

no we're like oh really because we say

everything on pod sometimes things

that we should really probably keep off

pod well I'm like isn't the point of the

Pod to say it on the pod

like isn't that why we're all

here but we can discuss the logistics of

me potentially taking your king-size

mattress after we close today yeah

that's too many people to be sleeping in

even a cie king yeah it's way too many

and so I found that really cute that

they were like Juno's like I'm trying to

guys you don't also have to be in here

like I'm imagining when you showed me

that picture of your son touching his

one toe to the water bowl like everybody

trying to touch Juno like one toe just

here for Juno one toe so like that's

really the end we then mve to the epilog

okay and the pack is building a new

house to be bigger and they are planning

on having kids someday everything is

going really well everybody's happy um

the remaining Zhao brothers are all dead

now so Eric went back to prison and he

was killed in prison oh and Andrew was

hit by a car when he was like kind of

stumbling out of a bar drunk he was hit

by a car um so neither one of them are

an issue anymore she is truly free um

and they are happy and hopeful

successful careers looking forward to

babies they're planning a wedding

everything everything's just really good

Ben is fully engaged now like Juno and

her brother have repaired their

relationship which is lovely fully

engaged as in their Rel I was like

oh well spoiler for the next book

no Ben there is like a scene I didn't

like outline where Hazel and Ben are at

like a pack house party at the same time

and Ben sees her and he's like oh my God

who is that like I on and Juno's like

let me introduce you and he's like no oh

my God like I am not dressed for that

like look at her dress he's like look at

her and she's like I got you I'm your

little sister and I'm going to ruin your

day so that's our setup for the next

book um which again I haven't read but

there were there was a lot about this

book I really loved um because it was a

very fresh take on a lot of like the

Omega verse tropes

yes and it was less like you smell good

so we have to be together and it was

much more like you smell good and I

smell good and so now if anyone else

looks at you I will rip their throat out

and you're

like okay wow yeah wow that escalated

and this one did escalate in its own

right but in different ways well it and

this is maybe weird to say but it felt

more grounded in reality like no one was

kidnapped no one was murdered like no

one was like you know it was very like

they went it makes sense that that's

your response after the trauma like

history that you have yes absolutely I'm

not going to bully you into healing from

your trauma or whatever which sometimes

is the vibe um or like also the ones

where they're like hey like if we just

[ __ ] it out of you you won't even

remember the trauma by the end of it

you're like oh no that's not how that

one works you know what like where

you're like we just really kind of

like buried a lot of things under the

sex and maybe didn't work through them

and I I do agree I feel like this one

was really like far more realistic cuz

she's like hey do not use your Alpha

bark on me like do not ask me to present

like these are things that like are

actual triggers for me and not the way

in which like Tik Tok uses the word

trigger yeah yeah yeah and them going oh

we respect that we understand your

journey and lived experience right and

we can meet you where you are sometimes

in these books and not even like just

Omega verse books but like romance and

just books in general like triggers feel

like a challenge to the love interest of

like I have to get you over that

trigger yes and it was not that at all

like they just never brought it up again

they were like okay we won't do that

yeah until she brings it up and is like

I think I might be into this right I

would like to try this and they're like

okay we're going to do it in a way that

makes you feel as safe and as

comfortable as possible and if at any

point in the journey you realize that

maybe you aren't ready for it yet that's

also entirely okay yeah instead of it

being like having a trigger means

there's something wrong with you and so

we're going to like push you to get over

this issue you know yes um and so again

like there was a lot about it that felt

like trauma informed and like really

nice um and also it didn't make the like

make her growth and resilience after her

trauma it wasn't attributed to the pack

and like to her like she did all that

work she was already getting better and

getting back into the world and like

engaging in that way and the pack just

added to it she didn't need them she

chose them and I think that that

like it's war and fuzzy for me you

know yeah yeah I agree

mhm it obviously and I know like we tend

not to go into a lot of detail of like

and then they bent her over the table

yeah then one entered her [ __ ] while

the other entered her vaginal cavity

like we tend to not

like there was both vaginal and anal

penetration right so like I know we we

tend to like like skirt over some of the

like actual Logistics of sex um but I do

also agree and like appreciate that like

I feel like a lot of Omega verse books

are really just like this is our chance

to have like eight dicks at the table

and be as runchy as we we can send it

and I feel like this was a little bit

more of

like okay so anyone who's had a

traumatic experience but who just

happens to exist in this universe yeah

um versus yeah just the like not me

Alpha I don't even care anymore and like

the fact that like during her Heats when

she was asking for things she'

previously not consented to yep that

they didn't like cross those those

boundaries versus like the well she's my

scent match

so ask ask forgiveness instead of

permission yeah yeah yeah

um okay so what's our rating scale for

this so she smells like

peaches at my peaches down in

Georgia come my away from

California I was thinking of the

president of the United States of

America Peaches song but it's different

it's a different vibe I was also

thinking

of peaches peaches peaches peaches

peaches peaches peaches PE

cuz we watch a lot of the Mario movie in

our house yeah

um I do feel like peaches feel like a

good rating system unless there's

something like sketch

pads marketing campaigns colored pencils

like H tattoos but like that's a very

broad yeah no I I like your initial one

yeah I think peaches um I'm going to go

with seven because there are seven

people in this

polyle um polycule is a great word I

know right I really like it know it's a

fun one yeah so out of seven out of

seven I was about to ask if the peaches

were right but then I deeply regretted

that question but I still need you

needed you to know that I I don't answer

it but I did think of this question very

much I like no no no I don't need it to

be clarified actually so I think

like I want to

say four and a half with a pit or five

with the pit like the half with a pit

you know exactly what I'm saying when

you half a peach and one half has the

pit I think five I think five because

for both right for like the whole du for

the whole story

because this is maybe one of the very

few that I almost would have prefer

referred that it was a

Trilogy because so much was packed into

the end of the first one yeah you're not

wrong and I felt like Ari was very much

tacked

on got it I do feel like and mind you

once again I am just experiencing your

experience of it uh but I do agree that

like the

pacing got a little like interesting in

the yeah wow we're really fitting so

much in that like we can't keep it

straight and I'm I think that went

beyond my small bladder yeah you know

yeah

um so yeah I think that's that's fair

that like if the the pacing had maybe

felt a little more even across the board

mhm because four and a half with a pit I

think is where I have landed but I do

also respect if you've landed at five

well and I think I say five because it

was such a like a fresh take on like the

trauma recovery and like on this

polyamory situation where it wasn't just

a given like everybody's into it and

like the pacing was different she wasn't

immediately into everybody like the

relationships all built over time um

that was really nice and there was no

like third fact she gets kidnapped which

is like very much the Trope um and if it

had gone into three books probably like

you got maybe there's there's got to be

at least one kidnapping you know you got

to fill those pages

somehow yeah um but I I did really like

it I think

the when I was reading it I was like Ari

is too much like Ari is like this extra

thing that I didn't feel as connected to

him because there wasn't enough time to

get connected to him and that's why I

would go five because I was just

like I just can't it's just a lot but I

really liked the read I liked her style

and the way that she

wrote um yeah I really enjoyed it and I

didn't get to hit all of the like

cultural stuff that she included because

of like there are Filipino people and CH

people um involved in this story she

involved a lot of like other stuff in it

that was really great that I I just

didn't have time to hit um so yeah I

would go five out of

seven I think five out of seven feels

like a great score I am probably going

to land at your first score I'm still at

four and a half with a

pit because to the point that you just

made yeah you have some additional

context that I don't right just as far

as all of like the cute moments all of

the cultural considerations all of those

things so I'm like I think from the

pacing at just kind of like the more

overview level I'm like oh yeah I need

some more to like get there but I

understand that if with you reading it

and me being the receiver on this one um

and I know sometimes like I it's been a

while since I've read like we've both

read it but it's just been a while right

I'm like oh this is when I'm like I'm

truly going in blind yeah and I think

with a little more like a few more

details I too would probably be at a

five but I think outside of that I was

like the pacing at the end of the first

one just really went from 6:00 to

midnight

yeah and it was a lot we turned up we

did and good for her right we like I

mean it was like cute dates and like you

know everything's really nice and then

it was like and then

[ __ ] and bonding and [ __ ] and

bonding and Andrew and bonding and like

just all the things for sure um no so I

feel all right four and a half with a

pit or five peaches final offer yep mhm
